Unzip-Zip is a versatile tool for managing compressed files. Being an alternative to WinRar, WinZip, 7-Zip & Bandizip, it allows you to unzip and zip files, as well as open, edit and create new archives. With Unzip-Zip, you can extract items, add new ones, delete unwanted files, and rename items within an archive.

How to Open an Archive?

In Unzip-Zip, there are two methods to open an archive.

Method 1: Drag and drop the archive file to the corresponding area.

Method 2: Click the “Browse file” button to select an archive file to open.

Note: If the archive file is password-protected, the app will popup a window where you can input the password.

How to Extract Items From an Archive?

With an archive file open in Unzip-Zip, you can either extract all items or select specific items to extract.

To extract all items, you need to make sure that no items are selected, and then click the “Extract All” button.

To extract selected items, you need to select the items first, and then click the button “Extract”.

How to Add Items to an Archive?

With an archive file open in Unzip-Zip, you can add files or folders to it.

To add files, ensure that no items are selected and then click the “Add File” button.

To add a folder, ensure that no items are selected and then click the “Add Folder” button.

How to Delete Items from an Archive?

With an archive file open in Unzip-Zip, you can delete unwanted files or folders from it.

To delete items, select them first, then click the “Delete” button.

How to Rename an item in an Archive?

With an archive file open in Unzip-Zip, you can rename the items in it.

To rename an item, select it first, then click the “Rename” button.

How to Create a New Archive?

In Unzip-Zip, you can create a new archive from selected files or a folder.

Step 1, Click “Create Archive” on the left panel.

Step 2, Use drag and drop, or click the “Browse files” or “Browse a folder” button to select the initial items in the archive.

Step 3, Ensure that the Archive Name, Archive type, Compress Method, Compress Level and Output Directory are all correct.

Step 4, if you want the new archive to be password-protected, please enable “Encrypt files with password” and enter a password.

Step 5, Click the “Create” button. The app will open the output directory after the new archive file gets created.

Note: If you need to include more than one folder in the archive, open the newly created archive and add the additional folder into it.

How to Manage Recent Opened Archives?

To manage recent opened archives, please select “Recent Archives” on the left panel.

When you select one item in recent opened archives, you can open it, remove it from the list, delete the file from disk or rename it by clicking the corresponding button.
